If this is your first Virtual CRASH self-paced training course, take a few minutes to read over the Getting Started page. The Getting Started page includes details on grading, completion time, and the requirements to receive a certificate of completion. Successful completion of this course assumes an active and valid vCRASH software license.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course deals with understanding the interface and functionality of Virtual CRASH software. Although this course is ideal for new users of Virtual CRASH, even experienced users stand to benefit from many of the topics covered. Please note, while a significant portion of the content for this course was developed using Virtual CRASH for Public Safety, the differences in the user interfaces of Virtual CRASH 4, 5, and 6 are only minor.

COURSE MODULES 

Module I: Understanding Sequences

  • Module I covers sequence and interposition functionality in the path animation tool.

Module II: Understanding Interpositions

  • Module II covers interposition functionality in the path animation tool.

Module III: Programming EDR Data and Delta-Vs

  • Module III demonstrates animating a collision driven by EDR data and synchronizing multiple vehicles.

Module IV: Rendering and Creating Videos

  • Module IV Builds a multi-vehicle scenario and walks through producing the final rendered video, including camera setup.
