You must also complete the Virtual CRASH Building Vehicles self-paced training course in order to begin Advanced Analyses 2.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course deals with simulating collisions between motorcycles and other vehicles, in the contact of WREX 2000 crash test 8.
GENERAL READING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION
Vehicle Accident Analysis and Reconstruction Methods by Brach and Brach
Fundamentals of Traffic Crash Reconstruction by Daily, Shigemura, and Daily
Classical Dynamics of Particles and Systems by Marion and Thornton
COURSE MODULES

Module I gives a quick review of the impulse momentum collision modeling used by Virtual CRASH.
Module II: Crash Test Overview and Simulation Setup
Module II provides an overview of the crash test. You will also set up the simulation environment.
Module III: Hybrid "Hand Calculation"
In Module III we will use a hybrid approach to estimate the motorcycle's pre-impact speed.
